At this point, I only wish to ask a question.
when you google Sam Maceo, it references two clubs, one being the Balinese.
Where was the other.....Biloxi ????

The Wiki stuff on Big Sam Maceo is a good read... Are they suing Wiki as well? LOL. If they are such huge Drama Queens about some repost in the Gud Ol Zen Zone, I truly wonder about these dudes. Haven't they got anything better to do with their time and lawyers? Get a life! And frankly, I'm not surprised at the power of the ZZ, which can make grown men cry and tremble in their Sicilian boots. And I just heard the Vatican is after me too, for all that anti-Catholic stuff I put here. possibly the biggest single illegal gambling venue of its time, bigger than Hot Springs Ar.

Let's not speak ill of the departed. Regardless of what unique family origins Frank Fertitta Jr. brought with him to Vegas, he did great things and helped many people. Here is a wonderful obit from 2009 Las Vegas Sun about his stellar business and philanthropic accomplishments -Maybe it is time for someone to update Frank Jr.'s wikipedia entry?

That's why a below-ego apology and demonstration or two of the like above is likely more than enough for byegones to be byegones, fugedaboudit and everyone can take their bat and ball and go home, no hard feelins. And I promised as well never to ever insult the Vatican again.

I think something is really wrong here.
As you said the thread is just a paste and copy with a link to the original.
And there is still the First Amendment avaiable in the USA about the freedom of press.
The only problem I see here is that they really can be a physical threat, but not legal.
When you have eliminated all the impossible, whatever remains, however implausible, must be the logic truth...
I don't think there is any physical threat implied nor inherent.
But if they abuse the legal process to attempt enforcement of their will it would be a hassle for sure.
I asked them for a specific show of good faith, after which we could discuss an amicable resolution.

I see this as the standard attorney ploy to use baseless threat of litagation to silence someone into surrendering their free speech rights American Heroes fought and died for since the 1700's.
I know Z-Man will stand up to these bullies as we all will back him to keep this site a beacon of free thought and exchange of information.

The curious thing is that the main story OP posted nearly 6 years ago was ONLY part-1, ending in 1960 with Frank Jr.'s arrival in Vegas to take a job at the Trop as a bellboy. We never thought to follow into parts 2-3-4 (until now). Does anyone care to speculate how a post that focuses on Galveston in the 40s-50s is somehow defamatory to the Fertittas today?

Right, as an Australian, I came from a long line of convicts. I don't deny that, and at the same time how can I be responsible for the sins of my forebears (if in fact there were any sins...) I accept history and moved on, as we all ultimately must do, if we wish to seek some form of inner peace. Dudes, good luck with that...
