    Fox News Rigs Entire Debate
    To Savagely Attack Ron Paul

In a sickening display of cronyism and as a consequence of the sheer terror
elicited amongst the establishment after his previous success, Fox News rigged
last night's entire presidential debate in a crass effort to smear Ron Paul - yet
the Texas Congressman still beat Rudy Giuliani in Fox's own poll.

If you thought the MSNBC debate was somewhat unfair towards Ron Paul,
then this was an absolute debacle.

I don't know who Ron Paul is really, but it sounds like he is kicking some butt in the debates...

I heard that FOX wouldn't let certain candidates participate because they aren't "big enough contenders". Who are they to decide this - I thought in theory anyone could run for pres. Although this isn't true because you MUST have major money in order to run.

Anyone "can" run for President (of course if you meet the criteria in the Constitution), just like anyone can try to get in the U.S. Open. But yes, your point of view is the realistic one. I'm not sure, however, if the media outlets that invite people to a debate are hemmed in by the same rules.

It's all business. Just like these radio goofballs that say controversial stuff and scream "Freedom of Speech" when they get fired, suspended, whatever. It's not the public sector (govt., FCC, etc.) that is not letting them say what they want, it's their boss putting the smackdown on them because IT IS BAD FOR BUSINESS. Nothing more, nothing less.

    I digressed waaaay off base.

    Good point Peep.

    good luck

The two-party system is protected in this country by a whole host of election regulations that make it difficult for third-party candidates to be competitive.

Consider that the Democratic and Republican candidates are automatically on the ballot in all 50 states, while for a third-party candidate to accomplish that goal they must spend a small fortune to comply with a legal patchwork of regulations that vary from state to state. In most cases, they must get a particular (large) number of signatures on a petition to even be listed on the ballot.

Fox News Claim Ron Paul's Online Voters
    Skewed Text-Message Only Poll!

Limbaugh, Neo-Cons pretend Ron Paul doesn't exist
to prevent their delusional soap bubble from being popped

Fox News had an explanation for why Ron Paul did so well in their poll even after
the deliberate smear job that constituted their presidential debate -
online activists were skewing the numbers.

There's only one problem with that claim - the poll was by text message only
and no online votes were taken!
