Mike, Im not sure you should be using your fans as examples of anything.
Here's a post made by what apparently seems to be the resident expert in your Forum.
Im sure some here will get a good laugh out of it.
I sure did.
"I'll start off by giving some advice here. First, have a decent bankroll your first time at the casino. Probably $200 is good. Next, go to a table with a $5 minimum if possible. You want to be able to have a low variance over a long period of time, and betting $5 most of the time on at least a $200 bankroll will lower your chances of going broke and increase your chances you'll find a great shoe to make money on while your bankroll is high.
When you get to the table, bet $5 at a time, keep track of the count, but don't increase your bet a lot right away. If you are just looking to make some quick cash, you probably should increase your bet to max once the count is around +10. Raise it slowly by each +2 incriment as well. I would keep a low profile though as you don't want to be banned from the casino if possible. Card counting takes concentration, but if you can chat it up with the players and dealer and not look too serious while playing, you probably will not ever be considered a counter.
Set a limit on how much you want to make, and more importantly, when to leave. It can become a cat and mouse game once the stakes get too high. Build your budget up each time you go. If you start with $100, try and build it to at least $200, then $300, and so forth. You want to continually make money as well as protect your bankroll against future losses.
These are just some beginning tips, good luck to you beginners out there, and I'll answer any question you may have."
