Default Playing Omaha with a former NLHE World Champ

The other day I played in a PLO tournament for the first time in the casino. It sure was an experience that I won't soon forget because it was an opportunity to play poker with a former world champion of poker, a player who won the Main Event in Vegas years back.

I wasn't sure what to expect playing with the former world champ but one thing really blew my mind about him. He brought his electronic tablet to the table and had his head buried in his video game while trying to play PLO at the same time. I personally thought that the former world champ had his head up his ass this evening for bringing his tablet to the table. For my first time playing PLO this former world champ became the first player that I crippled playing the game. I enjoyed re-raising him all-in only to watch him muck his hand on the river. Playing with this former champ I was surprised that he would bring such a lax attitude and approach to the game. He busted out 3 times that I seen and 2 times on my table.

While I didn't win or cash in the tournament I did have a good time participating and I loved busting up the former world champ. I missed two hands at a critical time hours into the tournament that if I would have played them I would have won them, I think I could have made a run to the final table had I not fucked up!

Yeah I know, I hate making mistakes but they happen. I got a NLHE tournament coming up here in about a week I'm going to play in and I plan on making a few minor adjustments to my game plan that I believe will allow me to run a bit deeper in the game and to hit the cash. Lately I think I've been playing a little to conservative in the early blind stages in multi table tournaments.
