Default Football Betting Then & Now

    moses says
Today' NFL with instant replay and constant rule changes is clearly
the most difficult sport to handicap. I used to tear it up in the 80s
I picked over 60% every year for decades but the last 2 years my results were ploppy-like. That game changed too much and what I was so successful with no longer worked. As the game heads toward flag football it has become a different game. It is now a waste of time for me to try to handicap.

I would much rather get points than lay points (except for a point or 2). As for money line the book I was using seemed to use it to balance the action at a certain point. That made the line movement predictable if you correctly assessed the imbalance in action. The window was usually a brief few hours before they had enough action to suit them. It was on the morning of the game if I remember right. I often found moneyline value during this window. I am not sure that this was universally a practice by books or just a peculiarity associated with that book. If you pay attention to the lines you will spot trends like this one that may help you get the best lines for the week.

I just don't want anyone to think it is done well with anything other than level of deep exhaustive diligent research that I used to do.

I either booked in person and said the actual amount or online and did typed the same. I never used an illegal bookmaker either even decades ago.

Apparently DonS is out of his league your Ladyship?

    DSchles responds -
Too many egos here. I had been monitoring Dan Gordon's picks for 20 years, and there's
no one in his league. Discussions of "picking 60%-65%" is just plain ridiculous to me.

There was no ego in my post, mister smarty Don.

The way you post causes me troubles and pushes my button's. Doing it correctly for the site's quote format is easy. It is up to you if you want to extend your perfectionist drive to quotes. I assumed if I mentioned it you would feel the urge to both save time and make your posts easier to read and understand at a glance. Part of the issue in another thread that took a bad turn was I missed a big chunk of one of your post that had several individual quotes in it because it looked like one quote. If you want your own unique style you could bold face either quotes or responses so it was clearer where a quote stops and a reply begins. The point is, for me at least, it is not obvious enough. That hampers communication. I assume at least someone else has the same issue.

I have missed parts of your post before because my eyes aren't good enough to see the tiny " quotation marks. For such a perfectionist when it comes to grammar, spelling and effectively communicating I would think that you Don would get the syntax and procedures down for making your posts clearer and easier to read.

A genius like you doesn't need eyes!
After over 10000 BS bragging posts, it turns out that T3 doesn't even play BJ! What a damn joke, LOL!
T3 is no threat to any casino because he spends most of his time bragging on BTF.
