... is that cheating or otherwise some sort of name-use-search hijacking?

Maybe it's just me, but when I look at Snyder's site I can't even see that they have a forum (as in a message board where people can post). All I know is that back when they for sure did have a message board, I quit looking at it because it was just junk.
The Fight Club was entertaining... for a while.
I think ZG's 'point' might be that no one rails against usurpation of long-established "trademark" more than you-know-who*, yet here
a new Qfit-sponsored Blackjack Forum has gone out of it's way to carefully target-optimize for search domination of an established brand. No?

That’s what I was afraid this thread was about. And I’m glad you put “trademark” in quotes.
So, the point is that Snyder has, or should have, the rights to a generic phrase like “blackjack forum”? Even though that site doesn’t have a blackjack forum as most people think of it? Or that it’s unfair, and somehow wrong, that Google lists a site that actually has a blackjack forum ahead of one that doesn’t?
Seems kind of silly to me.
Tend to agree, since Google is about user-experience and search relevance* ...
... but on the other hand, Snyder's trademark was purposely usurped in search results by intentful optimization.

Couldn't he have targeted other KWs without targeting existing trademark(s) that are not his own?
