Thread: Ken Smith Reboots BJINFO

    Default Ken Smith Reboots BJINFO

Ken has completed a major overhaul of BJINFO ...

    From Ken Smith/BJINFO on 12/21/15 -

For the last few months, I have been busily working on the new design at BlackjackInfo. And finally, it’s ready to go, so you are looking at the result.

The biggest enhancement is that the site now adapts to whatever device you are viewing on, so check it out on your tablet or mobile phone, including landscape and portrait mode.

All of the site’s most popular features are still here, including the Strategy Engine, and a complete rewrite of the Blackjack Rules explanation.
    The New Knowledge Base

The message board archives have been completely redesigned, transforming them into our new Knowledge Base area. The design puts the posts themselves front and center, by removing all the distractions of the old message board interface.

More importantly, I spent a huge amount of time cleaning up the links that users had posted. Many useful blackjack links shared over the years are unfortunately now dead. However, in thousands of those cases, I was able to link to archive.org’s copy of the page instead. So you’ll see the formerly dead link now pointing to an archived copy instead! And where I couldn’t rescue the content, the link is noted as a dead link, so you won’t waste time clicking to a non-existent site.

The archive of messages from CardCounter.com has also been revived and reformatted, and the posts now appear in the Knowledge Base in an easily accessible form. (See Blackjack – CC Archives.)

It's not a discussion community per'se, but blog comments are encouraged.
Surprising that Ken would even speak to me after how I was caught ripping off his BJINFO members (according to Norm Wattenberger)

He did that? What a disreputable person. But what do you expect, you can't trust anyone who gets their money from anywhere at the casino except the cashier's cage like we do.

I have played real money games with these "big time", tourney players and have watched them freeze and freak out at the table when using real, (their own), money, lousy players almost to the one, I could not believe it. Exception is Billy C and Mr. Pill, all others were turds.

Friends of the casino, actually, commensals of the casino.

    Commensals, eh? Good Scrabble word

At least Ken was fair enough to leave your prolific contribution to the BJINFO community intact. Morman Wattengerber deleted my
entire contribution to his brand-hijacking forum (I was #2 in barely 5mos) and then tells people that I "never posted about BJ."

No offense Zen, but how does he post the overhaul in 2015 in December? Has time travel finally been perfected? LOL

Default The game at BJINFO needs tweaking

I wish that Ken would allow more options with the BJ game at his site. He should allow Double down for less (DL), initial starting bankroll up to $10K, the top card gets burned with the option to not burn the top card for accuracies sake, setting of the penetration for the deck or decks, and multiple hands to be played by one player with the option to add computer players to simulate patrons.

More options for the player to change up the game a bit. Sometimes when I'm playing the game on that site I may want to double but not for the full amount. I noticed that the game on his site doesn't burn the top card. That is an option I would like to see on the simulator because that's how it's done in the casino. Even though it may not matter that much I suppose a burn card could be looked at as a card behind the cut card, I would still like to see it in the game.
