Extra extra, read all about it! --

As we reported back in October, despite an elaborate year-long US and EU-backed regime change plan in the Ukraine and crippling US-led sanctions, the Ukraine went down on one knee to buy its winter gas from Russia (paid up front)…
What should be puzzling to anyone with half a brain and a cursory grip on common sense – is how technocrats in Brussels, London and Washington can say they are ‘committed to harsh economic sanctions against Russia over its interference in Ukrainian affairs’ – when the Ukraine itself, is has already resumed trade relations with Moscow?
Once again, logic fails Washington and its axis of Boll Weevils.

Why I Voted against Condemning Russia
    Dana Rohrabacher (US Congress R-CA)

Recently, the House passed, by an overwhelming margin, a resolution to condemn the Russian Federation for actions considered hostile and aggressive within its sphere of influence, specifically with regard to the politically torn country of Ukraine.

Ten Members voted “nay,” myself among them. I wish to explain why I took this unpopular position.

Above all, while Vladimir Putin’s government may well have engaged in questionable behavior toward neighboring countries, Resolution 758 was nothing more than gratuitous, needlessly provocative and shortsighted. Moreover, reasonable observers the world over can see it as tantamount to a declaration that Russia is America’s enemy.

Default Merkel Now Lockstep with Neocon Warmongers

    by Helga Zepp-LaRouche

    December 2014

This article appears in the December 12, 2014 issue of Executive Intelligence Review.
    [PDF version of this article]

Dec. 5—The world is dangerously close to the brink of thermonuclear world war. If we do not change the course of the Obama Administration, the British government, NATO, and the EU, toward Russia and China, an uncontrolled escalation could wipe out the human race. Unfortunately, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, since her disastrous speech in Sydney, Australia, on Nov. 17, joined Obama as one of the main spokespersons for this confrontation policy.

Russia’s President Putin responded to this strategic situation in his annual address to the Federal Assembly on Dec. 4, with an unusually sober analysis. And people should look closely at the text of this speech[http://eng.kremlin.ru/news/23341] and think about it, rather than listening to the chorus from the lock-step media and the NATO flunkeys that write for it.

Speaking in the St. George Hall of the Kremlin before representatives of both houses of parliament and other dignitaries, Putin passionately appealed to the Russian people to defend Russia’s existence, just as they had done in the Great Patriotic War against Hitler. Concerning the sanctions, he stressed that even without the Ukraine crisis, the United States and its allies would have found some other pretext to curb Russia’s growing capacities.

“The policy of containment was not invented yesterday,” he said. “It has been carried out against our country for many years, always, for decades, if not centuries. In short, whenever someone thinks that Russia has become too strong or independent, these tools are quickly put into use.”

Calling misbehavior for what it is is not tantamount to declaring Russia our enemy. A world that looks the other way is a world that will see more of the same. The past is prologue.

There are countries where you can have you socialist plans or whatever it is that you want. All we need here is caring conservative leadership. The progressives/socialists/fascists/neocons have done their best to ruin the country. We just need to get back to conservative values and our original Constitution.
