    Many high-powered successful executives, gamblers, professionals, athletes, etc. otherwise lack inner peace regardless... so what?

    It's the lack of inner peace that makes them no different than the common man. Or maybe they just don't feel comfortable in their own skin. Think Enron/AIG/WorldCom/GM/The Fed Reserve, Stu Ungar, professionals that kill themselves when they don't get their way or get served divorce papers, and the vast majority of professional sports players that are broke after their playing days are done because they think like poor people and cannot manage their millions.
