Question Dodo, a Reincarnation of Ken Uston

I am wondering about big player behavior and negotation of perks. If you have experience in this area, would you kindly respond at the link pointed to within the page at: http://free.primarypad.com/p/XGR7BIWnHV

I don't have any experience in big player action but several days ago I did call up the blackjack pit at this particular casino (not your standard casino) to goad them into giving me a better game than what they currently offer. I challenged them to open me up a single-deck game and I told them that I would give them some action, the pit responded with, "Sorry sir but we can't do that. I'd like to but management has their rules." Next time I guess I need to talk to someone higher up in the chain instead of a pit boss. I had a feeling that those pussies would balk at the chance of giving a player what he wants. I did not call them with my phone.

Whose phone did you use? Was it Aslan's?

It was a friends phone. I just told her that I needed to make a call.

Since then, has your friend noticed that she seems to be stalked by weird dudes that look like demented pitbosses from the Venetian? I hope not.

I prefer the opposite of this where my Dad used to say, "All you white people look alike" or "All you palefaces look the same to me". It was his patent excuse for forgetting someone's name. Both that and this are/were offensive.........but still funny.

The stereotype that all Asians know kung fu may have prevented me from being mugged or otherwise attacked. And you should be glad that my time behind the wheel of a motorized vehicle is very limited--an hour or less most decades!

Default Stressed by Free Play and Comps

Most stores offer me one to two (typical) minimum bets per month in free play and/or comps. One place is giving me over ten times my minimum bet this month. I am having difficulty accepting so much without feeling obligated to give them more action. Of course, this is a good problem to have, but it still feels like a problem to me and is causing a lot of stress as this level of "attention" is uncomfortable. Acclimation is coming quickly as now a free $200 seems like too little to encourage me to go out of my way to collect.

Addendum: Took me a few hours to figure this out... easy solution: up my minimum bet by 3x or 4x, then the financial incentives will be in line with my "risk."

Don't feel guilty about comps. That's one of their "tried and true" psychological plays......LOL Rather just take them as they come. Don't vary or change your betting scheme IF it's more than you feel comfortable with your bankroll. Comps are great for avocational players like myself but I don't want to fall into the habit of "chasing" them or altering my play to get them.

Around here, the mailers are nice but each casino is a drive and they are not clustered in any one location like in Vegas, AC or Tunica. And since I don't NEED a hotel comp here, and most don't really have them anyway, the most they can comp you is meals. So not that much benefit. But they are nice to have to add to EV.

Default An insult in the mail

I got a comp in the mail several days ago and I found it to be insulting. These bastards gave me a promo chip offer that's ONLY valid for a 3 hour window on New Years Eve!!! Those cocksuckers!!! They might as well have never sent the damn thing in the first place and it's not even valid to midnight when the party's supposed to start WTF? On top of that it's my typical minimum bet at this casino, normally a promo chip offer is good for the entire day, but a 3 hour window? I also think I got removed off of another casinos comp list because I checked out of a game after scoring a nice win in about 10 minutes or less on my last visit.
