Hiding in Plain Sight, Google Seeks More Power

THE DALLES, Ore., June 8 — On the banks of the windswept Columbia River, Google is working on a secret weapon in its quest to dominate the next generation of Internet computing. But it is hard to keep a secret when it is a computing center as big as two football fields, with twin cooling plants protruding four stories into the sky.

Skynet rising: Google acquires 512-qubit quantum computer -
-- NSA surveillance to be turned over to AI machines

    Source: Mike Adams, NaturalNews

Most people don't know about the existence of quantum computers. Almost no one understands how they work, but theories include bizarre-sounding explanations like, "they reach into alternate universes to derive the correct answers to highly complex computational problems."

Quantum computers are not made of simple transistors and logic gates like the CPU on your PC. They don't even function in ways that seem rational to a typical computing engineer. Almost magically, quantum computers take logarithmic problems and transform them into "flat" computations whose answers seem to appear from an alternate dimension.

For example, a mathematical problem that might have 2 to the power of n possible solutions -- where n is a large number like 1024 -- might take a traditional computer longer than the age of the universe to solve. A quantum computer, on the other hand, might solve the same problem in mere minutes because it quite literally operates across multiple dimensions simultaneously.

    The ultimate code breakers

If you know anything about encryption, you probably also realize that quantum computers are the secret KEY to unlocking all encrypted files. As I wrote about last year here on Natural News, once quantum computers go into widespread use by the NSA, the CIA, Google, etc., there will be no more secrets kept from the government. All your files -- even encrypted files -- will be easily opened and read.

Until now, most people believed this day was far away. Quantum computing is an "impractical pipe dream," we've been told by scowling scientists and "flat Earth" computer engineers. "It's not possible to build a 512-qubit quantum computer that actually works," they insisted.

Don't tell that to Eric Ladizinsky, co-founder and chief scientist of a company called D-Wave. Because Ladizinsky's team has already built a 512-qubit quantum computer. And they're already selling them to wealthy corporations, too.

Beware of genius scientists who lack wisdom for humanity

Ladizinsky is, by any measure, a person of extremely high intelligence. Click here to see a fascinating interview with him. But like many such people throughout history, Ladizinsky fails to have the foresight to recognize the full implications of the technology he's building. And those implications are so far-reaching and dangerous that they may actually lead to the destruction of humanity (see below).

One of IBM's first use of the solid-state computer in the early 20th century, for example, was to license it to the Nazi regime to track Jewish prisoners in Hitler's concentration camps. There's an entire book on this subject, written by Edwin Black. It's called IBM and the Holocaust: The Strategic Alliance Between Nazi Germany and America's Most Powerful Corporation-Expanded Edition.

When groundbreaking new technology is developed by smart people, it almost immediately gets turned into a weapon. Quantum computing will be no different. This technology grants God-like powers to police state governments that seek to dominate and oppress the People.

This makes me think again about the time machine. I believe they managed to finally find the way to travel in time. This is why everything is so weird and screwed around our planet. It looks like this kind of computers will be used to make time machines work. The sad part is normal people will never know about the existence fo a time travelling machine, because it is obviously classified and under control of the Pentagon, or CIA. Or else...

China Supercomputer: Tianhe-2 Claims Fastest Computer Title

    By Shaylin Clark · June 17, 2013

A Chinese supercomputer – the Tianhe-2 – has leapt to the top of the latest Top 500 List, which tracks the fastest supercomputers in the world.
The Tianhe-2 (or “Milky Way-2″), which became fully operational two years ahead of schedule, clocks in at an astounding 33.86 petaflops per second. A petaflop is one trillion calculations. The Tianhe-2 is over 20 billion times as fast as the first supercomputer ever built, the CDC 6600, which was created in 1964.

Tianhe-2 is nearly twice as fast as the Titan, a Cray XK7 at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennesee. The Titan, which has enjoyed the top spot on the list for some time, now moves into second place. The third place computer, dubbed Sequoia, is installed in at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and runs at 17.17 petaflops per second. In fourth place is Fujitsu’s K Computer, which runs at 10.59 petaflops per second and can be found at the RIKEN Advanced Institute for Computational Science in Kobe, Japan.

Bing will buy the China supercomputer, but it may not be a match for Goog's quantum computer.
In the end there can only be one Skynet (a Cyberdyne company), as Mike Adams explains to George Noory on Coast-to-Coast.

So much for the Singularity ...
This is potentially a civilization-ending mistake. It's in the category of a mass extinction event such as giant asteroid slamming into the planet. And if we proceed with this mistake, giving rise to a race of hyper-intelligent machines that decide to eliminate humanity, the machines will write, in their own history books, how the only purpose of humanity's existence was to give rise to the machines. Once that was accomplished, humanity served no further purpose and was therefore "erased."

Default You Should Buy One of These

You should buy one of the following if you don't want to be lonely, err alone, ever again: an Amazon Fire TV or Samsung smart TV.

You can read details by following the links in the article at: http://www.globalresearch.ca/1984-is...ations/5433718

    Default Hidden in Plain Sight

Vance Packard in The Hidden Persuaders (1957) described trends in how advertisers (and public relations?) influence us.

Unsuprisingly, Google uses these methods, too.

"[T]he Search Engine Manipulation Effect (or SEME, pronounced 'seem'), appeared to be one of the largest behavioural effects ever discovered.

"Over the next year or so, we replicated our findings three more times, and the third time was with a sample of more than 2,000 people from all 50 US states. In that experiment, the shift in voting preferences was 37.1 per cent and even higher in some demographic groups -- as high as 80 per cent, in fact.

"We also learned in this series of experiments that by reducing the bias just slightly on the first page of search results -- specifically, by including one search item that favoured the other candidate in the third or fourth position of the results-- we could mask our manipulation so that few or even no people were aware that they were seeing biased rankings. We could still produce dramatic shifts in voting preferences, but we could do so invisibly.

"SEME's near-invisibility is curious indeed. It means that when people ... are looking at biased search rankings, they look just fine. So if right now you Google 'US presidential candidates', the search results you see will probably look fairly random, even if they happen to favour one candidate. Even I have trouble detecting bias in search rankings that I know to be biased (because they were prepared by my staff). Yet our randomised, controlled experiments tell us over and over again that when higher-ranked items connect with web pages that favour one candidate, this has a dramatic impact on the opinions of undecided voters, in large part for the simple reason that people tend to click only on higher-ranked items. This is truly scary: like subliminal stimuli, SEME is a force you can’t see; but unlike subliminal stimuli, it has an enormous impact.

"We published a detailed report about our first five experiments on SEME in the prestigious Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) in August 2015. We had indeed found something important, especially given Google's dominance over search. Google has a near-monopoly on internet searches in the US, with 83 per cent of Americans specifying Google as the search engine they use most often, according to the Pew Research Center. So if Google favours one candidate in an election, its impact on undecided voters could easily decide the election's outcome.

    ...

"As Edward Snowden's revelations made clear, we are rapidly moving toward a world in which both governments and corporations -- sometimes working together -- are collecting massive amounts of data about every one of us every day, with few or no laws in place that restrict how those data can be used. When you combine the data collection with the desire to control or manipulate, the possibilities are endless, but perhaps the most frightening possibility is the one expressed in [Kenneth] Boulding's assertion that an 'unseen dictatorship' was possible 'using the forms of democratic government'.

    ...

"Looking ahead to the November 2016 US presidential election, I see clear signs that Google is backing Hillary Clinton. In April 2015, Clinton hired Stephanie Hannon away from Google to be her chief technology officer and, a few months ago, Eric Schmidt, chairman of the holding company that controls Google, set up a semi-secret company -- The Groundwork -- for the specific purpose of putting Clinton in office. The formation of The Groundwork prompted Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, to dub Google Clinton's 'secret weapon' in her quest for the US presidency.

"We now estimate that Hannon's old friends have the power to drive between 2.6 and 10.4 million votes to Clinton on election day with no one knowing that this is occurring and without leaving a paper trail. They can also help her win the nomination, of course, by influencing undecided voters during the primaries. Swing voters have always been the key to winning elections, and there has never been a more powerful, efficient or inexpensive way to sway them than SEME."

By the way, do not let Google track you. Use Duck Duck Go (or Start Page) to get anonymized search results.

"AI beats human Go grandmaster... again

"AI beats human Go grandmaster... again South Korean Go grandmaster Lee Se-Dol (R) makes a move during the first in a five-game series against AlphaGo in Seoul on March 9, 2016 AFP

"A Google-developed supercomputer bested a South Korean Go grandmaster again Thursday, taking a commanding 2-0 lead in a five-game series that has become a stunning global debut for a new style of 'intuitive' artificial intelligence (AI).

"After shocking the world by defeating Lee Se-Dol--one of the greatest modern players of the ancient board game--in their opening match on Wednesday, the AlphaGo computer proved it was no fluke with another victory after a gruelling four-and-a-half-hour encounter."

Like Ms. Ttthreee (sometimes), Dr. Dodo can admit when he is wrong. AlphaGo lost one game of the five game match. Wikipedia page provides a good summary of the match: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AlphaGo_versus_Lee_Sedol
