Behind The Bible Fraud - What Was The Church Trying To Hide?

    By Robert Adams | NewDawnMagazine.com

When I first spoke to a close Christian friend of mine about the publishing of Tony Bushby's The Bible Fraud, her reaction was one that many Christians have expressed, and one that made me aghast. She didn't want the book available because it would "persuade them away from the Bible and the word of God." Further discussions with her and many other Christians around the world about The Bible Fraud all result in the Bible being quoted as the ultimate reference for the apparent "words of God," and therefore the basis for their arguments. The problem lies in that they believe the Bible is infallible.

If we examine the oldest known Bible to date, the "Sinai Bible" housed in the British Museum (I believe that, during his many years of research, Tony had a private viewing of this priceless book), we find a staggering 14,800 differences from today's Bible and yet it still remains the word of God?

As Tony points out, the history of our 'genuine' Bibles is a convoluted one. Firstly we cannot be sure that we have the full version as it was originally intended. In 1415 the Church of Rome took an extraordinary step to destroy all knowledge of two second century Jewish books that it said contained the true name of Jesus Christ. The Antipope Benedict XIII firstly singled out for condemnation a secret Latin treatise called "Mar Yesu" and then issued instructions to destroy all copies of the book of Elxai. The Rabbinic fraternity once held the destroyed manuscripts with great reverence for they were comprehensive original records reporting the life of Rabbi Jesus.

Later, Pope Alexander VI ordered all copies of the Talmud destroyed, with the Spanish Grand Inquisitor Tomas de Torquemada (1420-98) responsible for the elimination of 6,000 volumes at Salamanca alone.

Again, you can't make this stuff up!!!

Who do you think determined which books should comprise the Bible in the first place? Do you think it was all one big book and every addition was submitted to an ancient editor who put it all together? There were numerous books that were "candidates" for inclusion in the "Bible," but the Church made decisions as to which should and which should not be included based on its spiritual discernment as to which books were inspired by God. To suggest that this was to hide something is ludicrous on the face of it. It would be like saying that certain political writings were not included in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution because our forefathers were trying to hide something from us. Of course, I'm certain that zg must have a conspiracy theory in this regard as well. I'll bet the founders of our country were trying to hide socialism from us! Fear not. We found it!

Whenever someone asks me just what is so great about our society, I point out that even our sheep have internet access.
Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out just how far one can go.

Being a sheep is not always bad; it all depends on what you follow--the Constitution, the Ten Commandments, the law of the land, wise advice, reason, good health practices, conservative fiscal policies, etc. Now sheep who follow all that far left wing cr&p, well that is where being a sheep becomes really dangerous.

The Bible is the inspired word of God. The constant attacks on it indicative of its authenticity. It is an act of evil to try to destroy it, one which will reap judgment. Most here believe in Karma of one sort or another. Be careful what you bring upon yourself.

It was at the Council of Nicea in 325AD that the 318 Bishops were bribed (by Emperor Constantine to hurry up) to finally vote on which books should and should not make up the Bible. Lots of manuscripts were piled on a table. Those that fell off were not included. Those remaining on the table were included. Praise God! That is how God chose his Bible. Amen

It was the word of God by vote and by falling books. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

He does work in mysterious ways. I had thought they tossed all the books in the air and the ones that fell to the ground were included in the Bible and only the ones that stuck to the ceiling were not included. You see, the Emperor had instructed his servants to place large globs of sticky glue on the books the Bishops liked, and nothing on the covers of the books and manuscripts he liked. Then the servants tossed all the books to the ceiling and those that stuck to the ceiling were considered heretical and those that fell to the ground were considered inspired of God. Later, when the books were examined, it was found that the books that fell to the floor all had large globs of glue on their covers as the Emperor had ordered, and the books that stuck to the ceiling had no glue, mysteriously adhering to the ceiling without glue or visible means of support. When the Emperor saw this, knowing that only God could have caused his plan to go awry, he declared, "Truly, this Church is the Church of God Himself and Jesus is truly his Son. And truly these books on the floor are inspired by God." He ordered all the books on the ceiling to be burned, and all the books on the floor were gathered into a single compilation we now call the Bible.

But in fact, the selection process was going on from the time of the very first manuscript. Gnostics and others were busy, too, preparing false books that did not accurately convey the message and teaching of Jesus Christ. So from the very first, the Apostles and their successors and other holy men chosen by them were kept busy instructing the faithful as to which books were truly professing the Word of God and which books were heretical and leading men away from God. So by the time 325 AD came along, the selection process had already taken place in the day-to-day lives of the faithful, who adhered only to those books and manuscripts that were undeniably of God, and reflected accurately the teachings and words of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. Because of this, the Council of Nicea was only an official stamp of approval of what was already practiced by the faithful everywhere. And now you know the real story.
